With the goal of minimizing emissions, since 2014, Ajinomoto Vietnam has cooperated with Thuan Hai to invest and install a boiler system in the factory campus, using biomass as fuel to provide steam for the production system, replacing the factory's existing boiler system using oil and gas.
The boiler system uses 100% agricultural by-product materials, rice husk pellets, helping Ajinomoto Vietnam Company save costs and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 46% to the environment, contributing to environmental protection.
Furthermore, the amount of rice husk ash from the operation of the boiler system is collected and provided to farmers to use as organic agricultural fertilizer, helping to improve degraded soil and providing many nutrients with chemical components, thereby helps plants grow better.
