In order to provide steam and electricity for factories in Giao Long - Ben Tre industrial zone, Thanh Cong Energy Joint Stock Company (TCE) invested in a steam-electricity cogeneration plant with a capacity of 120 tons/hour and electricity capacity of 19.4 MW with the total area up to 2.2 ha. The cogeneration plant was invested in two phases:

• Phase 1 (2017): Invested in 01 boiler x 40 tons/hour, received 02 boilers x 20 tons/hour and has been supplying steam to customers since July 2018.
• Phase 2 (2018): Invested in 02 high pressure boilers x 60 tons/hour, 19.4 MW turbine & generator and has been supplying steam & electricity to customers since September 2019.

After researching technology and partners, TCE selected Thuan Hai as the partner to build and operate the steam-electricity cogeneration system.

Since then, the TCE cogeneration plant has provided steam and power for 07 factories in the Industrial Park with an average steam consumption of more than 80 tons/hour, 18.5 MWh of electricity. In addition, TCE has conducted co-processing with a license to treat waste as fuel to burn boiler systems with a maximum of 200 tons/day. Currently, the TCE factory is handling more than 70% of industrial waste in Ben Tre province.

Thuan Hai and TCE worked together and brought the project on schedule and quality requirements. Besides, the successful project also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions into the environment, reducing the amount of waste that needs to be treated. For the customer, Thuan Hai is highly appreciated and becomes a prestigious partner for future projects of TCE.
