With the goal of minimizing emissions, since 2014, Ajinomoto Vietnam has cooperated with Thuan Hai to invest and install a boiler system in the factory, using biomass as a fuel to provide steam for the production system, replacing the existing boiler system using oil and gas fuel of the plant.
The boiler system uses 100% agricultural by-products, which are rice husk pellets, helping Ajinomoto Vietnam to save costs and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 46% to the environment, contribute to protect the environment.
Moreover, the ash from the operation of the boiler system is collected and supplied to farmers to be used as agricultural organic fertilizer, helping to improve the degraded soil and providing many nutrients with chemical composition and plant grow better.
